Greetings from Ken to the parents of 5th Grade~

As you are all aware from the notice paper received today, all classes are holding presentations on Friday. Our 5th Grade class is going to perform a joint skit-presentation with the 6th/7th graders. The dress code for this skit is simple: a plain t-shirt of specific color (depending on what team the child is in), sneakers (running shoes), and shorts. Your child will know what color t-shirt he/she will need.

Look at all these colors! What to pick!!

As for the music presentation, as of now we are finalizing on a pair of jeans and a plain white t-shirt. The jeans do not have to be long-pants for the girls, they can be cut-offs. (Please dress appropriately according to the weather) What type of shoes they must wear will be determined in the near future.

Look at that clean white t-shirt~ not a speck on it.

The above jeans are perfect for the presentation.

Thanks, and God bless~

Greetings again from Ken the TA for 5th Grade class.

Below is a short video of Teacher Jay and Little Jacob showing off their beatboxing skillz~~~

The dudez got some talent~! Give them a round of applause for the performance(s)!!

I wasn't sure whether to put this on the general blog page or in 4th/5th/6th grade pages~ so bear with me fellow Teachers and TA's!! :)
Greetings parents! Ken the TA reporting in.

It's been a fun and hectic 4 weeks of Summer School so far. We the staff thank you for your continued support and effort in bringing the kids to the church every morning. (Also the fact that the kids bring money to donate to the Charity fund)

We will give our all to make the Summer School a place where kids not only have fun and learn academics, but also to learn more about God and how wonderful He is.

As for announcements, we have the field trip to Mountain Creek this coming Friday. We are going to leave church early and come back around 5:30pm or so. Please know that the kids do NOT have to bring lunch for the field trip, as the staff will be providing them.

Moreover, here is Teacher James and Little Jacob (with his bunny ears).

Announcements!

Hello Parents,

Although it is late, I have re-uploaded our schedule for this week. I apologize, as I did not know that the image was not showing. This will be our schedule for the rest of the summer so please refer to it and prepare your children according to the activities. Sneakers are required for gym and baseball days. The schedule will change on a weekly basis on Fridays

One of the activities for Thursdays is baseball. If you have a baseball mitt at home, please have your child bring it with them. We do not have enough mitts for all the students to use. In the case that you do not have one, we are not requiring you to go out and buy one.

This Friday's activity is swimming. Please be sure to prepare a bathing suit, towel and sun screen. In addition, students MUST PACK THEIR OWN LUNCH. Lunch will not be provided on certain days as stated during parent orientation.

Lastly, please have your child bring a water bottle with them daily. Students will be allowed to refill their water bottles throughout the day as needed.

Thank you,
James Cha

To the parents of 5th Grade,

Hello parents! This is Ken the 5th Grade TA (Teacher Assistant). I was unable to reach out to all the parents to deliver the announcement, so I will post it here for reference.

David Lim, the Photography class teacher, has requested that all the children bring $10 in cash for tomorrow. As you may know, David Lim is undergoing a project with the kids where they need to take pictures of anything they find interesting or particular. Teacher David is then going to take the cameras and bring them to a store for processing. The money is going to be used for the fee when he needs to pay the store for developing the pictures.

Please make sure to drop the children off with $10 in cash tomorrow. Thank you and have a nice day! And God Bless!

Sincerely,

Ken Park (5th Grade TA)

Bowling!

Hello Parents,

This weeks field trip will be bowling. We will be leaving at 12:30 and returning at 2:40, just in time for pick-up at 3 o'clock. I want to remind parents to make sure that your child wears socks tomorrow because we will be renting bowling shoes. Also, do not forget to have your child bring his/her books as we will still be having math and English classes in the morning.

To reiterate our pick-up policy:
Parents are to come inside the fellowship hall to take their children home. Teachers and TAs are not allowed to let your child leave by his/her self, regardless of whether you are waiting outside for them. We do not want to take any liability for missing children. If you are having someone other than yourself picking your child up, i.e. an aunt or uncle, please send a note in with you child that day.

Thank you,
James Cha

I look forward to sharing the Gospel and knowledge with the children through the 6 weeks of summer school. It is a great opportunity for the kids to grow spiritually and mentally, and for Mr. James Cha and I as well.

Please feel free to contact either one of us at any time if you have any questions or would like to inquire about something. Thank you, and God bless!

Greetings!

Hello all!

My name is James Cha and I will be the teacher for the 5th grade class this summer. I'm looking forward to teaching these children as well as having a fun time with them. Classes begin this Monday, July 2nd. Our morning worship begins at 8:30 AM so please do not be late!

In case you did not read Pastor Rana's post here:
http://palisummervbs.blogspot.com/2012/06/parent-notice-062812.html
please do. There are several important announcements in that post so please take the time to read it.

One thing I ask that you make sure to do is to have your child bring a binder with at least 3 dividers in it. We will be giving many worksheets and handouts, so having a binder would make organizing your child's papers much easier.

We have a wonderful summer planned for your children and I hope that they leave with fond memories.

See you soon!
James Cha
